UX/UI Designer, Summer internship

Position Summary

This position is within the UX/UI team at Acadia. Acadia is wholly owned by LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) and is part of its Post Trade division.

Programme start date:17 June 2024

You should have a predicted 2:1 degree or equivalent in Design or Interaction Design or Human Interaction Design degree.

During your time with us, you will have the opportunity to explore potential career paths by working in Acadia, a division of LSEG. Our 9 weeks summer interns play a part in the success of our organisation, just like they would do as an Associate.

Role Responsibilities

Day to day responsibilities could include:

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, sitemaps, and mood boards
  • Design user-friendly, on-brand user interfaces
  • Maintain design documentation like component libraries and design systems
  • Develop indicative icons and creative graphics
  • Work alongside cross-functional collateral management and risk-teams to collaborate and create financial applications.

Experience and Qualifications Required

To be successful on the programme, candidates will need to be highly motivated individuals who share our passion for innovation and growth. Applicants should also be able to connect the dots and think creatively.

  • Interest in Finance
  • Passion for human-centric design
  • Some knowledge or interest in graphic design construction and layout 
  • Familiarity with Figma/Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Webflow
  • Willing to learn and accept feedback? We’ll help you build that knowledge
  • Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines

Successful students will join us for 9 weeks, starting June 2024.
